Gmail source help
Connect, reconnect, disconnect, or delete Gmail data
Connect
- Sign in to Hoop with your verified Google work account.
- Open Connect Gmail and review the complete disclosure.
- Choose Connect Gmail, then approve Gmail read-only access at Google.
The pilot runs in Google Testing mode, so authorization expires after seven days. When Hoop shows reauthorization required, choose Reconnect Gmail and approve the same scope.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect to stop future processing and delete the local encrypted credential. Previously created tasks remain, and normalized content follows its seven-day retention period. If Google cleanup temporarily fails, the connection shows a content-free cleanup status and the upstream watch expires on its own.
Delete Gmail data
Choose Delete Gmail data and confirm the destructive action. Hoop disconnects Gmail, immediately redacts retained normalized message content, removes Gmail evidence links, clears delivery/correspondence state, and deletes tasks whose only source is Gmail. The operation is retry-safe and does not require a working Google credential.
Revoke at Google
You may also remove Hoop's access from the third-party connections page in your Google Account. Revoking at Google causes Hoop to request reauthorization and never affects your ordinary Hoop sign-in grant.
For a deletion or support request, contact the Hoop account owner using your organization's normal support channel. Do not send mailbox content or credentials in the request.
